At OTBI, research is at the heart of everything we do. Our goal is to design experiences that are engaging, meaningful, and tailored to the needs of our attendees. To achieve this, we combine structured instructional design methods with careful data analysis.
We use the ADDIE framework—Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation—to guide the creation of our activities and events. The ADDIE model originated in U.S. military training in the 1970s and was later formalized in a 1988 ASTD monograph by Deborah J. Grafinger, making it a widely used framework for instructional design.
We ensure that each initiative is thoughtfully structured to maximize learning, engagement, and impact. By analyzing attendee needs, designing interactive experiences, developing content and materials, implementing events with precision, and evaluating outcomes, we continuously refine our approach to meet evolving needs.
We gather qualitative and quantitative data throughout every stage of our programming. Surveys, interviews, observation, and participant feedback allow us to understand attendee experiences in depth. This data informs future program design, helping us ensure that every activity is not only fun and interactive but also effective in achieving our goals.
At OTBI, research is not just about data—it's about insight. By combining structured methods like ADDIE with ongoing evaluation, we create innovative programs that truly resonate with participants. This approach allows us to adapt quickly, celebrate successes, address challenges proactively, and revise strategies as needed.
